Same-Sex Marriage Advocates Take Off the Mask: Takeaway line from yesterday's oral arguments before the 6th Circuit

"There is a limit to the democratic process,"

―Laura Landenwich, Louisville, Kentucky, attorney representing same-sex couples wanting to redefine marriage.

Well yes there is Martin. For example, if a majority of Kentucky voters decided you could not be married, I bet you wouldn't just shrug your shoulders and say goodbye to your wife. A real life example is that voters can't ban mixed race marriages. Are you saying voters should be able to ban mixed race marriages, or your own marriage, because there should be no limits to the democratic process?

Yes, and I would like to marry my cousin's 7 year old. No, now I would like to marry my cat. I have a committed relationship. It's all relative. Why not?
